Join Faultline Chorus
Ever wondered what it would be like to sing as part of a chorus group? Why not give it a try?
You too could have what it takes to create the magical sound of unaccompanied barbershop harmony!
Singing in a chorus has many benefits, both psychological and physical
When you’re concentrating on the music and focusing on your breath, you’re totally ‘in the moment’, so it's great for stress relief as it becomes a form of mindfulness. Learning is also part of the deal. Whether you're learning new songs, harmonies or performance skills there are many opportunities for personal growth. Then of course there's the social aspect, making new friends, supporting one another and having loads of fun along the way.
Come to a rehearsal
Faultline Chorus welcomes new members at any time. Come along to one of our rehearsals to see what it’s all about and experience barbershop music from the inside. If you want to take it further, our music team will help in selecting the right 'part' (tenor, lead, baritone or bass) for your voice and from there you are given music to take home and practice. You then join in at rehearsals and after several weeks will have the opportunity to audition to become a member.
Rehearsal details: Wednesdays 7pm - 10pm The Salvation Army Crossroads Hall, corner of Cuba and High Streets, Petone.
