Faultline are supporters of the NZ Young Singers in Harmony Trust (YSIH NZ). See below for their latest:
2024 NZ Young Singers in Harmony Trust (YSIH) Convention, Lower Hutt Town Hall, 25 and 26 September 2024 – next year, 17 and 18 September 2025
We had 28 quartets and 13 choruses compete, with 434 secondary school rangatahi and under 25s and 38 student helpers including Directors and coaches at the YSIH Convention held last week from all over Aotearoa. There were a number of Chorus members and alumnae who contributed raffle products and wrapping and who volunteered their time to support a grant application, traffic pattern leading and ushering. (You know who you are π.) It demonstrated Faultline’s genuine support for our young barbershop singers and the YSIH Convention team! Thank you so much. The raffle contributions made a significant difference to the cash sales made, which has helped create a small surplus. It was much appreciated by Brenda Leasi, the 2024 Convention Coordinator and Selena, On the Ground Coordinator.
Mark 17 – 18 September 2025 in your calendars now
There will be opportunities for more Chorus involvement at next year’s YSIH Convention, to be held on 17 and 18 September (venue TBC after the YSIH Board of Trustees’ meeting on 20 October 2024). If you missed out this year, don’t miss out seeing some of YSIH’s top quartet and chorus barbershoppers next year! (And I’m sure we’ll be on the look for more volunteers from Faultline who can either help during the day or at the evening concert on the registration desk, helping with traffic pattern, or door and raffle sales π.)
